Talitha Kum


The International Network of Consecrated Life Against Trafficking in Persons is a network within UISG which originates from a project implemented in collaboration with IOM and funded by the US Government, Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration.


General Aim of the Network

To share and maximize the resources that Religious Life has on behalf of prevention, protection and assistance, awareness raising and denouncement of trafficking in persons.


Plan Of Action

  • To enlist new network members and facilitate the formation of new networks.
  • To support the campaign of SARWATIP against the trafficking in persons in preparation for and during the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa and the International Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
  • To request UNANIMA to lobby the UN for an International Day for Victims of Trafficking.
  • To put in place an International Directory and send the transitional team the links to other networks.
  • To support each other in prevention oriented activities and in the assistance of persons victims of trafficking.
