gloryNEWS 2017 -  "Life continues timidly in the Diocese of Sikasso, on the one hand the community of the Franciscan Sisters of Maria Immacolata of Karangasso who had to stop working commitments, on the other no news yet of Sister Glory.

The diocese of Sikasso has been in disarray since then. However, Mgr. Jean Baptiste Tiama, Bishop of Sikasso, asks us to continue hoping. We continue to pray and trust in the Master of our lives. We must not give up praying. We must try to find out what God wants to say to us in this adventure ... "
This is what the Mali Bishops' Conference communiqué sent to Fides, says on the abduction of Sister Gloria (see Fides 18/3/2017).
"It is in this sense that we have organized to celebrate in all the dioceses of Mali a mass after 100 days since the kidnapping and to remember Sister Glory and all the people who are kidnapped by armed groups", concludes the statement.
Let us remember that on February 8, a Colombian nun, Sister Gloria Cecilia Narváez Argoti, was kidnapped by armed men in southern Mali, in a Catholic church in Sikasso.
