A reflection for the Second Sunday of Advent

E-mail Print PDF
December 11, 2016

candleREFLECTION - Greetings of peace! Throughout Advent, we'll be posting resources promoting and encouraging an exploration of peace spirituality and the actions that flow from a faith that is rooted in peace and justice. Each Sunday, and on other Holy Days of Advent and Christmas, we'll share a reflection through our revamped "Peace Stories" blog, as well as send you out a link directly to your email inbox to access the reflection.

Today's reflection is from Judy Coode, Project Coordinator of the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative. You can find the reflection, based on today's readings, by clicking here

If you're looking to undertake an Advent action for peace this week, we have published a new statement calling for a renewed peace process for Palestine and Israel. We encourage you to share the statement widely, to use it in letters to the editor for your local newspapers, to study it in small groups, and to share it with your local church communities.

We also hope you'll consider giving generously to our Advent Appeal in order to support the work of projects like the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative. You can click here to read the entire appeal and for instructions on how to make a contribution.

Thank you so much for all the work you do to bring about peace in the world today. We hope you have a joyful and hopeful Advent season.
Sincerely,

Johnny Zokovitch
